A few days ago, James Kang and I watched the first part of the Emmy-winning miniseries Angels In America. James really wanted to watch it because of the all-star cast...actors like Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson. I figured it couldn't be all that bad with all the awards and all the stars...
This movie really should be called Homosexuals In America, because the whole plot revolves around the lives of emotionally and physically afflicted homosexual individuals. It was an eye-opening experience learning about something that I'm not familiar with at all. I mean, I live in Berkeley and all, but whether it's because I'm homophobic or just narrow-minded, I don't know too much about these individuals and their lives. I thought it was funny (and a little uncomfortable) that two guys were sitting in the dark, watching this miniseries about homosexuals. I'm still contemplating whether I want to finish the series...
I suppose I should... The second part promises miracles, and who doesn't like miracles?
